About Us

Paws4Applause is owned and run by Karole Robertson, an avid pet owner who has had dogs and cats as part of her family since childhood. Karole originally hails from Brazil where pet grooming is virtually a national pastime; household pets, usually numbering quite a few, are groomed locally by home-run businesses sometimes up to once a week as a treat and they love all the attention when they return home pampered, trimmed and smelling fresh!

Having worked in hospitality and events since graduation, Karole decided to follow her passion after working weekends in some of West London's premier grooming salons. Building on her experience, she took a professional training course and decided to launch her own parlour in the Ruscombe and Twyford area.

Living in the UK permanently since 2003, Karole, with her faithful Westie 'Brian', aim to bring a little Brazilian flavour to pet grooming in the UK; Brian the Westie himself can't get enough of the parlour and his wags-per-minute after a Shaggy Chic Full Groom shows how much he loves it when he's clean and cuddly and the centre of attention!
